Metalmark Butterfly Iron-On Patch — Case of 6

The Metalmark is one of North America's most distinctive butterflies — named for the shimmering metallic spots that catch the light on its intricately patterned wings. Found in grasslands, desert scrub, and rocky slopes, many Metalmark species are highly localized and increasingly vulnerable to habitat loss.

This artist-illustrated patch celebrates the quiet beauty of a butterfly most people have never noticed — until now.

  • Includes application instructions

Iron-On Instructions

  1. Prepare your iron — Set to medium-high heat (no steam). Allow the iron to fully heat before starting.
  1. Prepare your surface — Use a hard, flat surface. Brush away any dust or particles to ensure a clean bond.
  1. Position your patch — Place the patch face-up on your garment or item. Cover with a thin pressing cloth or cotton fabric.
  1. Press firmly — Apply firm, even pressure with the iron over the entire patch for 30 seconds. Do not slide the iron — press and hold.
  1. Check the edges — Lift the cloth and test the edges. If any edges are loose, press again for an additional 20 seconds.
  1. Reinforce from the inside — Turn the garment inside out and press the patch area from the reverse side for 20 seconds for a stronger bond.
  1. Allow to cool — Let the patch cool completely before handling.

⚠️ Not recommended for delicate fabrics such as thin rayon, silk, or sheer materials. For best results on delicate items, sew the patch in place.
